It's been a couple of weeks since the last post and a lot of work has been undertaken on the course,  especially in preparation for the Woolooware Cup. No words can describe how proud I am of my staff with the hard work and dedication showed towards presenting the golf course in immaculate condition for the members. With only 4 qualified staff, 1 groundsman, 1 casual worker and a mechanic, the amount of work they get through on such a large course is tremendous and I thank them for their efforts.

We have continued an unusually dry May with only 6mm of rain falling throughout the month thus far with lots of sun in between which we aren't complaining about! We had some very severe winds last week which ensured the course became littered with leaves/debris from trees so we spent a large majority of the week cleaning up the mess. We also had an entire tree fall between 14th and 15th fairway on Tuesday afternoon and some limbs on the left side of the 4th public tee were also removed immediately.

Our focus over the next month is to continually provide firm, consistent surfaces with increased mowing with walk-behind mowers on greens for the ladies club championships. We wish them all the best throughout the month, happy golfing!
